About
Aileen Eviota is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois Chicago. She is course coordinator for Applied Pathophysiology, Adult Neuromuscular Dysfunction, and Integration and Assessment. She is also actively involved in clinical education.
She has gained experience as an acute care therapist in both ICU and step-down settings for patients with complex medical conditions at Loyola University and University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System. She has also worked with diverse populations across all medical settings including inpatient hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient services. She has been involved in clinical education as an APTA credentialed clinical instructor. As a neurological specialist, she enjoys working with populations that have a neurologic involvement such as, stroke and brain injury. She was one of the founders of the stroke support group at UIH.
