Aging Services Inclusive of Asian American Networks (ASIAAN)
Aging Services Inclusive of Asian American Networks (ASIAAN), a national technical assistance and resource development center, addresses health care and social service barriers experienced by Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) older adults by building capacity for culturally relevant care within service systems, fostering health literacy among older adults and their caregivers, and cultivating cultural sensitivity among future health and social service providers.

Abstract
The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), in partnership with key community stakeholders, will develop ASIAAN, a technical assistance and resource development center that will focus on fostering ‘Aging Services Inclusive of Asian American Networks’ (ASIAAN).
ASIAAN’s overall objectives are:
1. To build capacity among AAPI older adults and their caregivers to access and navigate health and social services by developing culturally-tailored informational resources
2. To build capacity within aging service organizations to provide culturally meaningful and linguistically accessible outreach and service delivery
3. To build capacity within ethnic CBOs for staff to serve as liaisons between mainstream services and AAPI older adults and their caregivers
4. To enable the future workforce of health and social service providers to acquire knowledge, attitudes, and competencies for providing culturally-sensitive and family-centered care for AAPI older adults and their families
5. To create a mechanism for knowledge translation and dissemination of health and disability-focused information through culturally-tailored and accessible messaging and products
