Eisenberg and colleagues publish article describing rideshare trends among people with disabilities

Yochai Eisenberg and colleagues from the UIC College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs and Easter Seals published an article in Travel Behavior and Society examining the trends in rideshare usage (e.g., Uber, Lyft) among people with disabilities : Rideshare use among people with disabilities: Patterns and predictors based on a large nationally representative survey

Limited research has examined rideshare behavior among people with disabilities. People with any type of disability are less likely to adopt rideshare. Among adopters, those with disabilities take more rideshare than those without. Rideshare users with disabilities have unique characteristics to inform planning. Barriers to accessing and regular use of rideshare need to be addressed.
