Ashley M. Hughes has published a book chapter on cognitive workload in the newly released “Safety Professionals Handbook – 3rd Edition”

Ashley M. Hughes is the lead author of the chapter, “Cognitive Workload: Importance, Assessments, and Applications” in the recently published book “Safety Professionals Handbook, 3rd Edition”.

This chapter is co-authored by Hughes, SAFE-T Lab and BHIS doctoral student Trang ND Pham, California State University’s Star-Lab professor Gabriella Hancock, and a researcher at the MITRE Corporation, Virginia Tracy Sanders.

This book is a reference guide for safety professionals, and I am honored to be a part of it. My chapter summarizes the concept of cognitive workload and its significance in safety. It also covers various methods of assessing cognitive workload and the practical applications of this knowledge in real-world scenarios.

The book is available now and can be purchased at https://store.assp.org/PersonifyEbusiness/Store/Product-Details/productId/245721063. I’m happy to share the $40 discount coupon off the list price of $199.97 for the print version (SPHAUTHOR40).
