Eric Swirsky joins investigators at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for caregiver moral distress study

Clinical Associate Professor Eric Swirsky has received a grant to join the Sustaining and Training for Resilience, Engagement and Meaning (STREAM) project funded by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The overall goal of the STREAM program is to help physicians and trainees to build skills to reduce stress, burnout, and the effects of poor mental health. Specifically, we aim to develop an equitable and inclusive skills-based curriculum for pediatric faculty and residents addressing mental health, professional resilience, engagement in systems improvement, and joy and meaning in work; and implement an interactive mental health screening program to allow participants to see their current state of mental health and to connect them to desired institutional resources.
