About
Stephanie is a bilingual, bicultural, neurodiverse affirming mental health therapist and licensed social worker who provides individual, group, and family therapy within the UIC Developmental Disabilities Family Clinic. Her clinical training and professional experiences have allowed her to provide therapeutic intervention at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, and outpatient levels of care. Stephanie takes a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach to therapy that is grounded in the client’s values and strengths. She enjoys working with individuals who contend with Depression, Anxiety Spectrum Disorders, Trauma, and other Mood Disorders. In her practice, Stephanie utilizes trauma informed-care, person-centered therapy; Mindfulness and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Stephanie strives to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters healing, empowerment, and growth.
Service to the Community
2023-2024 LEND Trainee: The Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Program provides long-term, graduate level interdisciplinary training designed to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities.
