The UIC Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition produces leading experts in the fields of health, fitness and nutrition. Our graduates work in fitness and wellness facilities, for major healthcare institutions, with athletes of all levels, for therapeutic and rehabilitation systems, and become entrepreneurs.

Our programs range from undergraduate to the doctoral level, preparing students for successful careers in allied health or continuing their education with advanced degrees.

Kinesiology Degrees

Kinesiologists focus on enhancing the quality of life of the individuals and communities they serve. They're experts in health and exercise helping people of all ages and abilities optimize their movement and performance, live with greater well-being, and prevent injury and disease.

Nutrition Degrees

We are what we eat. Nutrition experts study how our bodies transform what we consume into the energy we need. They help people live healthy lives free of ailments like digestive distress or depression. Our students combine expertise in nutrition science with knowledge of behavioral science, education, food science, management and public health to improve the nutrition of individuals, groups and populations.
