About
Brenda is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Disability and Human Development (DHD) at UIC. She teaches graduate courses in Assistive Technology, specifically related to the area of Seating, Positioning and Wheeled Mobility, in the UIC Assistive Technology Certificate program. Brenda received a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia with a research concentration in rehabilitation engineering and has been a RESNA certified assistive technology professional (ATP) since 1997. Brenda is a frequent presenter and contributor at national and international conferences and has authored articles on rehabilitation technology.
