Christianna Danguilan

Meet Christianna

Why did you choose DHD at UIC?
This is a pioneering interdisciplinary program engaging in the vanguard of disability research. I wanted to be a part of a larger community engaging in praxis and developing the disability identity. In doing so I am proud to have joined a larger movement working toward disability rights and justice on both the national and global level.

What do you want to do with a DHD degree?
I would like to work at ensuring the continued inclusion of and equity for people with disabilities, in particular neurodiverse young adults transitioning into adulthood. Ideally, employment would engage praxis bridging both the public and academic sectors.
