Nicole Sims

Nicole is originally from California where they received a BA in English and Sociology from Chico State. They received their MA in DHD with a thesis that interrogated the concept of authenticity using Stephen Hawking representations as examples. In their spare time, they love to cook and spend time with family.

Why did you choose DHD at UIC?
It was the only PhD in disability studies in the country

What do you want to do with a DHD degree?
Work in disability services in higher education.
