UI Health Champions visit with faculty and staff from the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition

On July 28, 2023, the Department of Kinesiology & Nutrition hosted the UI Health Champions inside of the anatomy & physiology labs. The high school students met with Tyrianna Sorrell, Melvin Woolfolk and Annmarie Chizewski to explore the curriculum and various career paths in kinesiology.  Students also participated in a special activity in the wet lab led by Tomer Kanan.  UI Health Champions is an initiative dedicated to making changes in health through an innovative approach. The objective of this program is to expose participants to health careers and empower participants to serve as community health advocates.
