**New Application Information as of 10/16/25**
Due to recent ACEND requirements, Coordinated Program track applicants now have to complete an application through Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Service (DICAS). Applicants will be reviewed through DICAS and requests for interviews will be made by the program director. You also need to submit a concurrent UIC application.

Deadline
Applications for both tracks are due in DICAS AND UIC on December 15th of the year prior to matriculation. For example, applications are due December 15, 2025 for Fall 2026 entry.
Traditional Program Track applicants complete the UIC application.
Coordinated Program Track applicants complete the DICAS application.

Step 1: Complete the Dietetic Inclusive Centralized Application System (DICAS) application, including the application fee and items listed below. A limited number of $25 vouchers that can be used toward the DICAS application fee are available. Please email Shayna Oshita at soshit2@uic.edu to request a voucher.

APPLICATION COMPONENT DETAILS
Personal Statement
Submit a maximum 700-word, UIC-specific essay on these topics:
- Describe why you selected nutrition and dietetics as a career and how this degree relates to your immediate and long-term professional goals
- Why are you a good match for UIC?
- What kind of RD do you want to be? How will UIC provide a means to get there?
- How does the UIC MS Coordinated Program connect with your career plans and prior experiences, interests, values and background?
Letters of Recommendation
Submit TWO letters of recommendation in support of your application. Personal references are not acceptable. One academic and one professional is preferred. Recommenders are usually faculty, academic advisors, teaching assistants, or work or volunteer supervisors.
Prerequisites
Enter your prerequisite course information in the area indicated in the application portal.
·      Fall Academic Update (Specific to DICAS): The DICAS academic update allows you to update planned or in-progress coursework that you completed since your application was originally verified. You must update any coursework you initially marked as in-progress or planned for future terms, as well as add courses that are planned for the future terms.
Written interview Questions
Enter complete the questions in the area indicated in the application portal.
For International students using DICAS:
·      A Detailed International Academic Credential Report is required. A course-by-course report is needed to calculate grade point average and prerequisite course completion.
·      The Detailed International Academic Credential Report should be sent to DICAS via the instructions on the Coursework page.
·      The evaluation must be completed by one of the companies listed below:

International Students
If English is not your native language, you might need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the exam of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the PTE-Academic. Check out the International Requirements to see if this applies to you.
Scores must be submitted to UIC directly using the institutional code 1851.
Declaration and Certification of Finances
The Declaration and Certification of Finances form must be signed by both you and your sponsor.
