Before you begin, check our admission criteria on the Before You Apply page to be sure you meet all the requirements.
Applications are due January 15.
Submit your UIC application online via the UIC website. Follow the instructions listed there. There is a non-refundable application fee of $70 for all applicants.
You don’t need to enter and submit all application information in one session. You can return to the application as many times as you need to. You can also return to the system checklist to see what materials have been uploaded and verified as received.
Once you finalize and submit your application and application fee, you’ll receive further instructions (usually next business day) on how to use the application checklist to upload materials and generate requests to your recommenders for letters.
Transcripts from each university and college you’ve attended must be submitted with your online application.
Official transcripts are required from admitted students only.
Submit a one- to two-page statement that addresses your objectives for graduate study.
Submit three letters of recommendation in support of your application, preferably from academic sources.
Submit your completed interview form and page(s) with your answers to all twelve questions.
If English is not your native language, you may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the exam of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the PTE-Academic. Check the International Requirements to see if this applies to you.
Scores must be submitted to UIC directly using the institutional code 1851.
