Kinesiology Informational Session & Mock Classroom w/ Dr. Annmarie Chizewski

Join us as we learn more about the Kinesiology program at UIC and some of the cool things happening in the world of performance and research from Kinesiology faculty member Dr. Annmarie Chizewski.

Dr. Annmarie Chizewski completed her PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2019. While at the University of Illinois she served as a research assistant for the Exercise Psychophysiology Laboratory and teaching assistant for the department of Kinesiology and Community Health. During her time at U of I she worked closely with the Illinois Fire Service Institute and her dissertation examined which aspects of physical fitness were correlated to better performance on the fire ground, as well as examining the effects of a 7-week high intensity functional training had on both physical fitness and firefighter ability in recruit firefighters.

Dr. Chizewski joined UIC in August 2022 and is currently the assistant director of experiential learning for the department of Kinesiology and Nutrition. Before joining UIC she was a tenure track assistant professor for three years. She holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and USA Weightlifting )Level 1 Olympic Lifting).
